This Refund Policy applies to the following services and products offered by Financial Literacy for New Canadians:
- One-on-one financial consultations (in-person or virtual)
- Group workshops and seminars
- Digital products (e-books, templates, calculators, etc.)
- Online courses and webinars
- Subscription services
One-on-One Financial Consultations
Cancellation Prior to Scheduled Consultation
If you need to cancel a scheduled one-on-one consultation, our policy is as follows:
- 48+ hours notice: Full refund or option to reschedule
- 24-48 hours notice: 75% refund or option to reschedule
- Less than 24 hours notice: 50% refund or option to reschedule
- No-show: No refund provided

Satisfaction Guarantee
We strive to provide valuable and actionable financial guidance. If you are dissatisfied with your consultation for any reason, please contact us within 7 days of your session. We will work with you to address your concerns, which may include:
- Offering a follow-up session at no additional cost
- Connecting you with a different financial advisor
- Providing a partial or full refund, determined on a case-by-case basis
Workshops and Seminars
Group Workshop Cancellation
For in-person or virtual group workshops:
- 7+ days before event: Full refund
- 3-6 days before event: 75% refund
- 1-2 days before event: 50% refund
- Day of event or no-show: No refund
Workshop Cancellation by Financial Literacy for New Canadians
If we need to cancel a workshop or seminar due to unforeseen circumstances (such as instructor illness, technical difficulties, or insufficient enrollment), we will offer you the following options:
- Full refund of your registration fee
- Transfer to another workshop date
- Credit toward future services or products
Digital Products
Due to the nature of digital products, all sales of e-books, downloadable templates, calculators, and other digital resources are final and non-refundable once the download or access has been provided.
However, if you encounter technical issues with accessing or using the digital product, please contact our support team at support@financialliteracy.ca within 7 days of purchase, and we will assist you in resolving the issue.
Online Courses and Webinars
Recorded Courses
For our pre-recorded online courses:
- We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee from the date of purchase if you are dissatisfied with the course content
- To be eligible for a refund, you must not have completed more than 25% of the course material
- Your refund request must include specific feedback about why the course did not meet your expectations
Live Webinars
For live webinar events:
- 72+ hours before webinar: Full refund
- 24-72 hours before webinar: 75% refund
- Less than 24 hours before webinar: No refund, but access to the recording will be provided
If you miss a live webinar, a recording will be made available to registered participants for 30 days following the event.
Subscription Services
For our subscription-based services:
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us
- No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods
- Upon cancellation, you will maintain access to the subscription services until the end of your current billing period
For annual subscriptions paid in advance, we offer a 14-day money-back guarantee from the date of initial purchase if you are dissatisfied with the service.
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please follow these steps:

- Include your full name, email address used for the purchase, and order/transaction ID (if available)
- Provide the date of purchase and the specific service or product
- Explain the reason for your refund request
We will respond to your refund request within 3 business days.
Refund Processing
Once approved, refunds will be processed as follows:
- Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase
- Processing time typically takes 5-10 business days, depending on your payment provider
- In some cases, we may issue refunds as credit toward future services
Exceptions and Special Circumstances
We understand that special circumstances may arise. In cases of medical emergencies, family emergencies, or other extenuating circumstances, we may make exceptions to our standard refund policy. Promotional or Discounted Purchases
